COMMON MOTH TINEOLA BISSELLIELLA
Description
Adults are 6-8 mm long, the front wings are golden brown spotless. The trailing edge of the wing is strongly serrated.
Larva: measuring up to 10 mm long. White cream, golden brown head, lives in a silken tube 100 to 150 mm long.
Nymph: about 6 mm long.
Lifecycle
The duration of the life cycle is 6 weeks, but it may be 18 months if conditions are unfavorable (low temperature or food scarcity)
Habits
Although they have wings adults do not fly and they often run by avoiding the light and do not feed.
